Well Water: Our neighborhood is serviced by well water and goes through complete water filtration system. While the water is completely safe to consume directly from the tap, water may smell and taste different if you are used to city water. This is completed expected and nothing to be concerned about. You may wan to pick up a crate of water if you believe you may be sensitive to the well water taste. Hot Tub Cleaning: We shock (chlorine treatment) hot tub water after every guest stay and add chemicals to balance alkanity, PH levels and completely change water at-least monthly or more frequently as needed. The shock treatment process can take 12-24 hours during which time you may notice a brown tint or green tint or cloudy water. The hot tub is completely safe to use during this process. IF at anytime we feel the water condition is unsafe, we will inform you and completely replace the water. Depending on the weather conditions, it can take up to 48 hours for fresh water to reach desired temperature. IF this results in hot tub not being available for your stay, either partially or full duration, we may offer partial refund at our discretion. We offer round-trip rides to the stadium or hospital for $12 per rider. On game days, this is very convenient, since game parking is hard to come by! Our property is 15 minutes from Coral Ridge Mall, which is surrounded by restaurants. There is also easy access to Interstate 218, which you can take south for a 17-minute trip to Riverside Casino & Golf Resort. Other things to note We include all the amenities you could need, including linens, towels, soaps, and shampoos, laundry detergent and softener, and more. Plenty of parking spots are available in our large driveway. Elena also has a licensed home bakery and organic products business called Green Life! LLC (greenlifeiowa com). Feel free to email her about her products and prices. All guests receive a 10% discount. If you’d like to have food waiting for you at check-in time, contact her two days before your arrival. If you need child-free time, with advance notice our 17-year-old daughter will be happy to look after children. Note that you will need to drive about 2 miles on a gravel road to get to our guesthouse from hard-surface roads. I hope you enjoy this almost 100 year old home, it is full of charm. There is a fenced in back yard for privacy or incase you are traveling with kids and pets. There is free parking on the street in front of the house. The home has self check in, I will send you instructions for the lock box a few days before your arrival date. All linens and towels are provided. The kitchen has everything you need to make a meal and serve it (besides the food of course). Post Derecho in Aug 2020: There is damage to the fence that I am having a hard time finding contractors and materials to rebuild due to such high demand in the area. In addition, there is a grocery/market within a few blocks to pick up all the fixings for grilling or your meals. The house can accommodate 4 or up to 6 people comfortably with the use of an air mattress. There is ample off street parking available for 3 or more cars as well.
